Job Summary and Qualifications

Coordinates all assessments ordered by ER physicians or attending physicians concerning psychiatric or substance abuse problems. Performs age-specific mental health assessments on potential clients and refers to appropriate areas.

What you will be doing

• Provides crisis assessments in med/surg hospitals
• Participates in the assessment process
• Coordinates, implements and completes transfer or referral process
• Serves as a liaison between physicians, patients/family and the hospital
• Accurately maintains files, logs and reports as requested or required
• Provides crisis intervention for all age groups

What qualifications you will need:

• 
  Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Satori Alternatives to Managing Aggression must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Masters Degree
• Registered Nurse, or Licensed Pro Counselor Intern, or Licensed Professional Counselor, or License Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Masters Social Worker (LMSW), or Licensed Pro Counselor Associate
