Inventory Control Clerk

Job Overview: This position is responsible for coordinating, ordering, receiving, stocking of all goods sold in our retail areas at both Dogwood Canyon Nature Park, located in Lampe, MO, and Top of the Rock, located in Ridgedale, MO.

Primary Functions

• Inspect, unpack, and receive all merchandise ordered and delivered.
• Storing, organizing, and issuing of all merchandise received in the warehouse and general storeroom.
• Maintain a high level of cleanliness within the retail areas.
• Keep inventory lists for all merchandise including out of stock goods and received items so that follow-up can be made.
• Ability to run a register as needed and assist guests.
• Work with purchasing team for keeping inventory up to date via returns, damaged goods, interdepartmental transfers etc.
• Fills and delivers all requisitions for supplies to departments.
• Verify that no requisitions are left open.
• Checks requisitions for proper authorization.
• Ability to operate hand truck, lift-jack, forklift, and dolly.
• Ability to efficiently operate Point of Sale software and hardware handling both cash and charge sales quickly and efficiently.
• Knowledgeable of products with a strong ability to assist.
• Ability to execute opening and closing procedures.
• Performs all other duties as required/assigned.
• Must adhere to all company/department safety standards and policies.
• Must be open to working weekends/weekdays/nights when necessary/critical to support the business.
• Must have an approved driving record and operate a company vehicle if required/applicable.
• Must have a valid Missouri driver's license or the ability to obtain one within 30 days

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Must have basic computer skills, with the ability to learn new software in a timely manner; Point of Sale software experience a plus.
• Requires walking/standing approximately 70% of the time; sitting approximately 10% of the time; lifting to 50 lbs. - approximately 10% of the time; stooping, forward bending and crouching approximately 10% of the time.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions with little supervision.
• Requires the ability to verbally communicate with employees, distributors and other professionals in person and via telephone.
• Requires the ability to operate office equipment including computers and read written instructions and other documentation.
• Requires the ability to work alone and unsupervised in facility for several hours at a time.
