We are currently seeking an Inventory Specialist at our Bolingbrook regional distribution center located at 470 W Crossroads Pkwy, Bolingbrook, IL 60440..

The Inventory Specialist is responsible for inventory monitoring and documentation, counting, tracking, investigation, and discrepancy resolution for merchandise at branch locations. This role performs inventory counts and tracks company merchandise at company branch locations. This role assists in inventory monitoring and investigations, analysis of discrepancies and irregularities. Additionally, this role performs various tasks related to accurate receipt, staging, storage, transfer, and delivery of materials. The Inventory Specialist utilizes various computer applications to record material receipts, location and movements by part number and quantity for inventory and location records. This role utilizes various types of material handling equipment and radio frequency (RF) scanning to perform job functions.

Minimum Job Requirements

  • High School diploma or its GED equivalent
  • 1-2 years’ experience with inventory, supply chain, and related functions.
  • Demonstrates ability and willingness to safely operate warehouse equipment such as Big Joe, 2 wheel and 4 wheel carts, pallet jacks, other carts using required safety gear
  • Knowledge of MS Office applications as needed to satisfactorily perform work assignments – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint as well as have the ability to learn company enterprise systems as needed – Solar Eclipse, etc.
  • Aptitude for mathematical operations and numerical analysis.
  • Use computers, photocopiers, fax machines, scanners, and phone systems relative to the needs of the job.
  • Must be organized, able to prioritize, set and keep deadlines, change direction quickly, and adapt to various work environments easily.
  • Must be able to work independently and at times discreetly, use sound judgment, and make thoughtful decisions in a timely manner.
  • Must be able to understand and abide by company policies and procedures.
  • Minimum keyboarding skills of 40 words per minute.
  • Travels to branch locations as directed
