We are a growing recycling company located in Chicago, seeking an energetic and organized individual to help our team manage our administrative duties and aid the sales department as needed. We broker deals between manufacturers and customers looking for used industrial packaging. Our company helps aid the green movement by keeping industrial packaging out of landfills and giving it another life cycle.
Responsibilities:
- Provide support to managers
- Coordinating with managing vendors
- Maintain relationships with generators
- Basic administrative tasks, including email management
- Obtaining required documentation efficiently from vendors and customers
- Update company spreadsheets in Google Workspace
- Aid sales team as needs arise
- Other duties and tasks as they arise
Full Job Description
An Administrative Specialist is extremely important to our business. Within this role, you will be responsible for providing support to managers and employees as needs arise, coordinating and managing recycling pickups, and maintaining a successful relationship with customers. In this position, you will be talking with customers throughout the day, requesting pictures of products, answering any questions and helping to schedule freight. You will be in constant contact with our customers, so great communication skills and organization are a must.
Qualification Requirements:
- MUST HAVE STRONG COMPUTER SKILLS!
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior administrative experience is preferred but NOT required
- Ability to navigate and work in Google Workspace
- Top-notch verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
- Outstanding listening skills and attention to detail
- Excellent phone etiquette to be able to communicate with people within multiple states
