CardWorks Servicing ("CWS") is one of the largest privately-held provider of outsourcing services for bankcard-related products to banks and non-bank lenders in North America. CWS offers management expertise across the credit spectrum and supports both MasterCard and Visa accounts as well as a variety of private label debit, credit, stored value, and customer bankcards.Position Summary:
This position requires the investigator to research, review and investigate credit bureau disputes received directly from the accountholder as well as from the credit reporting agencies. Responsibilities include reviewing reports, updating account tagging, identifying and documenting problems within established deadlines and with a high level of accuracy.
Essential Functions:
- Handles report and account level reviews as assigned by area management.
- Applies knowledge of each client’s policies and procedures for account maintenance to consistently execute tasks at hand
- Follows all guidelines of the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act (FDCPA), FCRA and all applicable regulatory standards
- Frequently interacts with internal and external customers i.e., (Clients, NY, Utah, attorneys, consumer credit counseling and credit bureaus)
- Processes exception reporting with respect to the accuracy and integrity of accounts reporting to the credit bureaus on behalf of our clients, as needed
- Assists other associates as needed
- Handles special projects assigned to support CWS operations as needed
- Performs other duties as assigned
- High School Diploma or its equivalent education required
- Two (2) years of related customer service or collections experience preferred
- Work related inbound and or outbound telephone experience highly desirable
- Experience with First Data Resources (FDR) or related platforms preferred
- Ability to understand and meet/exceed deadlines with accuracy
- Keyboarding proficiency
- Familiarity with Windows based computer applications
- Thorough knowledge of FDR systems and processes
- Thorough knowledge of Latitude system and process
- Skilled in negotiating, including the ability to persuade and modify opinions to reach goals
- Ability to work under pressure; flexibility and willingness to work at a rapid pace
- Effectively and efficiently communicate both through verbal and written channels in a way that others are able to understand the information in a manner consistent with the essential job functions
- Effective planning, organizational, time management and problem solving skills
- Ability to multi-task is essential
