Overview:
By Light is hiring an IPSEC Administrator to join our team. This position will focus on conducting analysis and assessments on new technologies, develop recommended functional design solutions to meet stakeholder requirements, developing engineering, recommend design solution hardware and software solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the creation, management, troubleshooting, and administration of all keys and certificates (as the Certificate Authority).
- Troubleshoots, isolates and identifies problems with VPN connections and creates and protects private keys and corresponding X.509 digital certificates.
- Designs, installs, operates, and maintains CA server, and issues certificates from it.
- Designs, configures, documents, troubleshoots, administers, and manages certificate and key infrastructure for various VPN crypto devices.
- Sets up paths to the certificate revocation list (CRL) distribution point (CDP).
- Acquire, configure and maintain development, test and production hardware and software.
- Support development, test and production equipment including after-hours support and monitoring server usage and up-time.
- Provide technical and procedural direction to the company for the actual implementation of the networking equipment used, as well as interface with internal users, development personnel, DISA, adjacent network managers and CAs, and other technical staff.
- Provide direction in complex problem solving situations and participate in direct interaction with internal staff as required.
- Identify process improvement opportunities achievable through the optimum use of the servers.
- Design, implement and maintain a consistent backup and disaster recovery plan.
- Perform vulnerability and risk analyses of computer systems and applications during all phases of the system development life cycle.
- Provide technical support to the IA Cell to develop and maintain JCSE IA processes and procedures regarding JCSE's computer network defense in-depth protection for the JCSE enterprise.
- Perform and support updates to and maintenance of the POA&Ms for the JCSE Enterprise.
- Support development of RMF Security Plans.
- Document changes to systems and all required checklists for use within the configuration baseline.
- Implement and integrate IA defense postures to JCSE's communications systems and architectures when coordinated or immediately upon being directed to secure reported cyber threats from the appropriate level of authority.
- Collaborate with operations, QA, and third party data centers to provide technical direction on network topologies, server configurations, hardware/software deployments, firewall configurations and other administrative tasks related to the staging and maintenance of company development, testing and production server and network stacks.
- CCNP Security or CASP
- Minimum Top Secret with TS/SCI preference
