We're seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead our Accounting - Packaged Solutions product. The IT Engineering Manager will be responsible for leading an engineering team in an agile environment, building, and maintaining financial software platforms by partnering with the Accounting, Finance, Procurement and Treasury business areas. Platforms include Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Cloud Services financial modules, Oracle Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) modules, Coupa Business Spend Management, and Nuvolo Field Service Maintenance.

The Engineering Manager needs to have strong & innovative approach to problem solving, great technical leadership, excellent communication, flexibility, and a self-motivated working style with attention to detail. We're seeking a leader who has balanced functional / technical knowledge, is forward-looking, and who will establish the vision for these platforms. This position will be responsible for translating that vision into a technical roadmap and building or integrating products/platforms that appropriately balance the need for speed-to-market, scalability, and differentiation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the advancement and ongoing maintenance of Casey's financial platforms. Identify and implement the appropriate technical solutions to fulfill requirements. Partner with Product Management and business partners to recognize new technical needs throughout the organization.
• Collaborate with the Enterprise and Solution Architects to ensure that proposed technical solutions meet the requested business needs and perform effectively and efficiently within the Casey's technical architecture.
• Drive resolution of technology roadblocks including configure, code, infrastructure and deployment. Ensure a reliable performance of our platforms, working closely with vendor's support to fix bugs and system problems. Coordinate the review, testing and approval for new software releases, fixes and upgrades.
• Define timelines for team goals as they align to overall organizational objectives. Ensure work being done by team is jointly and regularly prioritized between the team, Product Management and their respective business partners. Ensure the team has adequate capacity to meet business demands by analyzing velocity, backlog and availability of flex resourcing with third parties.
• Build and manage the relationships with our key software vendors to ensure timely and effective communications for escalation channels and updates.
• Manage actual expenditures to budget and proactively identify opportunities for cost reductions.
• Provide continuous improvement and exploration of industry standards and technology advancements.

• Build and lead a team of high caliber software engineers and systems analysts. Enable and drive engineering culture. Set a plan and timeline for how the engineering organization can evolve. Responsible for hiring, training, coaching/mentoring and performance management for team. Build a great team and culture of engineering. Collaborate with team members on career development and goal setting.

Required

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems or Finance/Accounting or equivalent experience.
• Seven (7) years’ experience leading software engineering or financial systems engineering teams required.
• Strong understanding of application design, configuration and module set up.
• Strong technical aptitude and an understanding of integrations, API's and platform services

Preferred

• Relevant experience in the implementation/support for the Oracle ERP core financial modules in eBusiness Suite (eBS), Fusion or Cloud Services versions.
• Experience with Cloud based Software as a Service (SAAS) applications and vendors.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Project Management Professional (PMP), is a plus.
