Job description
Kalahari Resorts and Conventions delivers a beyond-expectations waterpark resort and conference experience all under one roof. The authentically African-themed resort is home to America's largest indoor waterparks and features well-appointed guest rooms, full-service Spa Kalahari, a fun-filled family entertainment center, on-site signature restaurants, unique retail shops and a state-of-the-art convention center.
Salary: $50,000-$55,000
Sortinos includes: Sortino's Italian Kitchen, Pizzeria Sortino, Sortino's Cafe & Gelato and Vinoteca wine lounge. In this growth role, you will assist in overseeing and coordinating the planning, organizing, training, and leadership necessary to achieve stated objectives in sales, costs, employee retention, guest service and satisfaction, food quality, cleanliness, and sanitation of the restaurant's dining room and kitchen areas.
We do require that you have a background of general food and beverage knowledge involving at least 3 years of front-of-the-house operations and/or assistant management positions in a hotel or resort setting is preferred. Prior Restaurant experience in a full-service restaurant and supervisory experience of staff is a must. It is preferred that the person has at least 2 years of directly related experience.
Additional required skills include:
- Must be able to communicate, read, write, and speak English effectively. Bi-lingual skills are preferred but not required.
- Ability to calculate figures amounts such as discounts, percentages, helpful. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry helpful.
- Ability to operate a Micros terminal, phone system, and other types of restaurant and kitchen equipment.
