Avidd Community Services of New Jersey, Inc proudly serves people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Morris, Bergen, and Somerset Counties.

What We Are Looking For?

We are currently hiring a Part Time Job Coach / Employment Specialist for our Transitions program serving individuals with developmental disabilities.

Must be able to work Monday through Friday and travel in Bergen County and Morris County to support students, ages 16 to 21 on their job sites and in their school setting.

Hours of work must be flexible based on clients' work schedule.

Job Details

Primary responsibilities will be assisting with job development, job coaching and assessments. This can include skill building, assistance with resume writing and mock job interviews. After employment is secured, follow up to assist the client in maintaining the job is needed.

Salary is based on previous experience, training, and education.

Requirements:

• Applicants must be at least 21 years old.
• Applicants must have a high school diploma with three (3) years of related experience or a minimum of an Associate's degree.
• Applicants must be caring, responsible, and reliable.
• Must have a willingness to undergo required pre-employment drug screening, fingerprinting, Child Abuse Record Information (CARI) application, Central Registry background check, physical/PPD testing, and training.
• Applicants must have a valid NJ driver's license (in good standing and not in probationary status).
• Boggs Center training a plus.
