Junior Food and Beverage Service Technician

Seeking a Junior Food & Beverage Service Technician with a passion for customer service and quality. The ideal candidate will have some experience in installation, repair and maintenance of electro-mechanical devices that may or may not relate to Food & Beverage equipment. This candidate will join our team of Facilities Services technicians, and be dispatched to job sites to assist in diagnosis and repair Food & Beverage equipment, replace faulty equipment, and install new equipment as needed to address our client’s needs.

Job Summary

This role is a starting level position to assist our team in the execution of work orders to install, repair, replace, or perform Preventative Maintenance (PM) on Food & Beverage equipment at our client’s retail stores. Some of our main clients include 7-Eleven, Amazon, and Jack in the Box.

Work Duties/Essential Functions:

  • Learn to perform installation, calibration, repair, and maintenance services of Food & Beverage equipment such as Beverage Dispensers per manufacturer guidelines.
  • Drive to and from job locations of our clients.
  • Lift and maneuver at least 50lb of equipment to/from our clients’ store locations.
  • Respond to service calls to assess customers’ needs and resolve problems.
  • Be on-call after hours to be dispatched for High Priority service calls.
  • Complete service documentation (Check-In, Check-Out, add job notes, take and upload before and after pictures) and close out work orders.

Skills Required:

  • A minimum of 1 to 2 years of professional experience in repairs and installation of electro-mechanical equipment, preferably in the Food & Beverage category.
  • Experience with Bunn, Tidel, Turbo Chef and money order equipment preferred.
  • Ability to learn how to successfully troubleshoot, diagnose and repair equipment and to deliver significant results in safety, productivity, and quality.
  • Proficient in the use of computers, email, tablets, and mobile phone applications.
  • Effective and collaborative problem-solving skills to maximize customer service and satisfaction.
  • Excellent communicator and team-builder, with strong interpersonal, negotiation, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Critical thinker, with good judgment and decision-making ability.
  • Self-motivated, driven, high energy, and resilient.
  • Proficient with speaking, reading, and writing in English.
  • Proficient with speaking, reading, and writing in Spanish, a plus.

Education Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification as a trained technician by of any electro-mechanical or electronic equipment, a plus.

Essential Physical/Mental Abilities Required:

  • Position requires travel to job locations.
  • Normal vision or correction to 20/20 including color vision.
  • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in an office setting, sit and stand for long periods of time
  • Drive a vehicle
  • Work on a computer
  • Talk on the telephone
  • Must possess a Valid Driver’s License with a clean record with less than two moving violations (No DUI or major infractions).
  • Conform to company safety policies and procedures.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 10 hour shift
  • 8 hour shift
  • On call
  • Weekend availability

Experience:

  • Service and repair of electrical/mechanical equipment: 1 year (Preferred)
