Summary: Tetra Tech Rooney, a Tetra Tech Inc. business unit that provides consulting engineering primarily to the oil and gas midstream industry, is currently seeking a Junior Project Accountant to be based in our Englewood, CO location.
Your Role:
- Processes monthly and bi-weekly invoices.
- Sets up new projects and update existing projects according to the terms and conditions of contracts and purchase orders.
- Coordinates cost control and reporting activities for the team.
- Act as an administrative focal point for the Financial Cost Control Lead by coordinating with the Project Services, Accounting, Document Control, and Administration teams.
- Assemble and format reports, memos and other documents for the Financial Cost Control Lead, as required.
- Ensures proper entry and allocation of labor hours to support accurate payroll and project costing.
- Prepares ad hoc reports and analysis for project teams and management as required.
- Tracks and coordinates reports, expenses, invoices, billings, etc.
- Performs other administrative and clerical duties or assumes additional responsibilities as required.
- Understands each project and its budget with respect to accounting and reporting for the project.
- Prepares job cost analyses.
- Maintains electronic and paper filing system.
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary certificate or diploma Accounting or Finance or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Experience in the engineering or construction industry is an asset.
- Strong analysis and reconciliation skills.
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Effective communication and organizational skills, with excellent attention to detail.
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to problem-solve and think critically.
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel and Word).
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and approach situations in a diplomatic and professional manner.
- A Pre-employment drug screening in compliance with state regulations is required.
- Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record without restrictions.
Target salary range: $52,000 to $66,560. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
