Summary: Tetra Tech Rooney, a Tetra Tech Inc. business unit that provides consulting engineering primarily to the oil and gas midstream industry, is currently seeking a Junior Project Accountant to be based in our Englewood, CO location.


Your Role:

  • Processes monthly and bi-weekly invoices.
  • Sets up new projects and update existing projects according to the terms and conditions of contracts and purchase orders.
  • Coordinates cost control and reporting activities for the team.
  • Act as an administrative focal point for the Financial Cost Control Lead by coordinating with the Project Services, Accounting, Document Control, and Administration teams.
  • Assemble and format reports, memos and other documents for the Financial Cost Control Lead, as required.
  • Ensures proper entry and allocation of labor hours to support accurate payroll and project costing.
  • Prepares ad hoc reports and analysis for project teams and management as required.
  • Tracks and coordinates reports, expenses, invoices, billings, etc.
  • Performs other administrative and clerical duties or assumes additional responsibilities as required.
  • Understands each project and its budget with respect to accounting and reporting for the project.
  • Prepares job cost analyses.
  • Maintains electronic and paper filing system.

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary certificate or diploma Accounting or Finance or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • Experience in the engineering or construction industry is an asset.
  • Strong analysis and reconciliation skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Effective communication and organizational skills, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to problem-solve and think critically.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel and Word).
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and approach situations in a diplomatic and professional manner.
  • A Pre-employment drug screening in compliance with state regulations is required.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record without restrictions.

Target salary range: $52,000 to $66,560. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
