The Building People, LLC, has a position open for a full-time* Real Estate Analyst *supporting the Federal Aviation Administration in Atlanta, Georgia. The employee will provide technical and analytical support services and perform the following duties and tasks:
The Real Estate Analyst support FAA Field Offices to meet real estate objectives for the National Airspace System (NAS). The incumbent will make recommendations for improving real estate processes and provide support for documentation management, including the creation, scanning, transfer, relocation, archive, and disposal/shredding of documents. They will provide analytical support in the following areas:
- Collaborate with Real Estate Contracting Officers (RECOs) in preparing new and validating existing Memorandums of Agreements (MOAs); preparing documentation and correspondence for review and approval; and providing status reports and follow-up action items
- Support the development of land survey requirements for obtaining land survey price quotations; communicate requirements to potential survey vendors solicit and evaluate bids; prepare funding requests and supporting documentation; report status and follow-up action
- Review existing utility contract information to validate invoice consumption against invoices to determine facility activity, usage verification and consistency; track and report progress; and, assist with contract setup, transfer and termination
- Support solicitation and selection of land appraisals and monitor and report status
- Verify the need to continue lease renewals; determine renewal options, including pricing and lease history; assist in developing lease renewal terms or potential acquisition strategy; obtain market data to assist in value determination of current market conditions for lease renewal or acquisition negotiations; assist with lease and acquisition negotiation preparations and associated documentation; monitor and report status and provide updates via the Real Estate Tracking System (RETS).
- Support financial research and coordination of Purchase Order awards; prepare and/or update Lessor profiles, Supplemental Lease Agreements (SLAs), and recording of leases; respond to inquiries related to lease financial issues; provide Lease Automation Tracking (LAT) Purchase Order (PO) support; prepare Real Estate Financial Reports summarizing PO’s status for SLA’s; and support documentation management
Required Experience & Skills
- Enter, track, and analyze data accurately
- Ability to speak and write well
- Excellent customer service skills
- Basic skills in accounting
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, Email, Smartsheet, Adobe Acrobat Professional research, organization
- Ability to learn proprietary software (LAT, RETS),
- Ability to participate in problem-solving by initiating process improvements when issues arise.
- Ability to develop and sustain cooperative working relationships with team members
- Proficiency in data analysis and management
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Required Education
- Bachelor’s degree and three (3) years’ experience working in the Realty Area in performing similar work activities
