Job Title: Kitchen Supervisor
Department: Back of House
Reports To: Executive Chef

Summary: A strong, creative kitchen is a key part of our success and we are seeking a Bistro Kitchen Manager to join our growing property. As a Kitchen Supervisor, you will assist in elevating our creative culinary experience by guiding and motivating a team of cooks, dishwashers and expeditors to deliver quality food on time. The primary goal is to ensure the kitchen department runs smoothy and complies with safety regulations. Essential duties include overseeing food preparation, training and scheduling kitchen staff for the Bistro.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Overseeing Bistro operations. Responsible for opening and closing the kitchen according to company standards
  • Perform interviewing, hiring, training, developing and furthering the abilities of Bistro kitchen staff
  • Monitor, coach and motivate kitchen staff to ensure they have every opportunity to achieve job satisfaction and career development
  • Schedule staff, assign work tasks and coordinate activities of kitchen staff to ensure consistent levels of service
  • Inspect food preparation and presentation to maintain quality standards and sanitation regulations
  • Investigate and resolve food quality and service complaints
  • Keep kitchen in clean and orderly condition according to health department regulations
  • Ensure all food products are stored in compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Assist in creating daily features and specials
  • Assist in planning and pricing menus, taking advantage of foods in season and local availability
  • Periodically inventories supplies and equipment
  • Periodically orders food and supplies according to necessary delivery dates
  • Keeps record of cooler and freezer temps
  • Assists in performing kitchen duties
  • Report to maintenance needed repairs or unsafe conditions
  • Perform other duties as assigned
