Job Summary:
The Part Time Package Center Supervisor handles day-to-day service issues within an operation (e.g., on-call Air pickups, heavy pick-up accounts, unforeseen events, etc.). This position coordinates the needs and efforts of the operation to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction is met. He/She facilitates the smooth execution of procedures and management of systems. This position supervises others within the department.
Job Description:
Dispatches On Demand Pick-up Orders
- Coordinates driver pickup work to ensure customer demand and volume levels.
- Utilizes UPS systems to dispatch delivery and pick-up events that occur after service providers leave the building.
- Balances pick-up work among service providers as needed to incorporate into dispatch plans.
- Reviews and analyzes data (e.g., volume, missed packages, delivery failures, etc.) to create plans maximizing dispatch results.
- Responds to customers’ ad hoc pick-up requests to integrate into dispatch plans.
Resolves Customer Concerns within the Operation
- Communicates customer package needs to drivers to ensure awareness of expectations.
- Responds to customers’ ad hoc pick-up requests to integrate into dispatch plans.
- Resolves customers’ issues to maintain long-term business relationships.
- Conducts damage control and escalation to resolve customers’ concerns.
- Serves as point of contact to resolve customers’ issues (e.g., billing, shipping, etc.) and to improve service.
Monitors Internal Systems and Overall Administrative Functioning
- Monitors clerical needs of union and non-union administrative employees to ensure customer needs are met.
- Maintains data systems to identify and resolve issues.
- Serves as compliance and regulatory recordkeeper to ensure requirements are met.
- Generates and analyzes operational reports to improve efficiency.
Supports Safety and Compliance within the Operation
- Follows the injury, accident and investigation process to document incidents properly.
- Ensures accident investigations are forwarded to appropriate parties to mitigate liability.
- Maintains safety logs to track and document safety and security concerns.
Required Skills:
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

- Willing to learn.
- Be a team player.
Interpersonal Skills: Must have good communication skills and be willing to help out in teaching vendor ramp driving classes when needed.
