Summus Healthcare is adding a Laboratory Administrative Assistant to our in-house lab team in Euless, TX. Our ideal candidate has some laboratory and administrative experience with schedule flexibility.
Compensation:$16 - $19 hourly
Responsibilities:- Files requisitions
- Creates and sends out CPL orders
- Receives and sorts specimens for Medical Laboratory Technician
- Labels A1c tubes and matches EDTA for Medical Laboratory Technician
- Assists courier on an as-needed basis
- Protect patients’ rights by maintaining the confidentiality of personal and financial information
- Maintains laboratory inventory and requests supplies as needed
- Maintains department meeting minutes
- Maintains operations by following policies and procedures and reporting needed changes
- Detail-Oriented

- Critical thinking
- Knowledge of QC practices, instrument operation and maintenance, and result report
- Knowledge of proficiency testing standards and practice
- One to three years experience as an administrative assistant in a laboratory or healthcare setting
- Familiarity with common medical terminology
