Job description:
The person in this position will be trained in conducting different aspects of cannabis analysis, data entry, and good laboratory practices. Individuals in this position are required to be reliable, have a good work ethic, and work well with other laboratory members.Specific job responsibilities include, but may not be limited to:

1. Working with laboratory personnel to ensure quality goals are met.

2. Working with laboratory personnel on sample preparation, laboratory set up, laboratory clean up, and assisting with limited data entry.

3. Maintaining a level of professionalism within the laboratory environment among other employees and external clientele.

4. Conducting all documentation and procedures necessary for the intake of samples.

5. Use of a variety of software applications and cloud-based platforms.

At a minimum, the Laboratory Technician must have:

1. A bachelors degree in biology, chemistry, or some equivalent field.

2. Experience with microsoft word, excel, and related software applications.

3. Some laboratory experience preferred but not required.

Location:
This lab assistant position is for a laboratory located in Natchez, MS. Natchez is a beautiful and historic city located on the Mississippi River. Since 2018 Natchez has undergone an exciting and intense period of revitalization. Located conveniently to both
Baton Rouge and Jackson Mississippi, Natchez offers the feeling of small town living with the conveniences of larger metropolitan areas nearby. Natchez offers abundant outdoors activities, recreational areas, and access to the coast of the Gulf of Mexico.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour

COVID-19 considerations:
This position involves very limited contact with public and customers. The laboratory space is large and open, with workplace procedures in place to help minimize COVID-19 exposure.
