SKILLED LABORER/SANITATION COLLECTOR- HIGHWAY/SANITATION DIVISION

The DPW is accepting applications/resumes for the above position.

The candidate we seek will be responsible for back of truck curbside collection of trash, recyclables, seasonal yard waste, and winter sidewalk snow and ice clearing.

He/she will work under the supervision of Foreman and General Foreman and must be able to communicate effectively with both coworkers and the general public.

Prior experience is preferred, as well as, a minimum of a High School Diploma.

A CDL license with Air brake endorsement must be obtained within 180 days of employment and we offer CDL ELDT (Entry Level Driver Training) in house.

This is a great opportunity to learn to drive CDL vehicles and other medium/heavy equipment.

Weekend overtime is often available.

This is an entry level position with growth potential. Physically demanding and does require being on the back of the sanitation truck to start.

Starting salary $23.3355
