As we continue to grow so does our workforce. At this time we have an exciting addition to our team as a Laser Operator on our weekend shift. This person would be responsible for the set up and operation of the Laser machine.
Training for this position will be 2-4 weeks on FIRST shift.

Essential Functions

- Sets up and operation of Laser machine.
- Shape work pieces to specifications following standard charts and manuals.
- Apply knowledge of Laser machining process and methods, material properties, shop mathematics, and setup techniques; can read and interpret prints.
- Positions and secures work piece on machine table with clamps, weights, or fixture and verifies alignment and flatness.
- Create and modify laser programs as required per customer requirements.
- Monitors and maintains appropriate inventory of consumables for laser operation.
- Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules using knowledge of capacities of machines and equipment.
- Documents machine settings, offsets used, and detailed description of work performed with each set-up and/or shift worked.
- Inspects and documents findings completed to work piece both visually and with other measuring instruments, to verify SIZE, LOCATION, and ALIGNMENT of work performed.
- Performs quality inspection and works with Quality Assurance for first piece approval.
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
- Follows and adapts to procedures as described in the Quality System Procedures.
- All other duties as assigned.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
