Center Point Energy is looking for a LCLIBT Storage Field Fitter Apprentice 1-8 to join our Gas Control & Peak Shaving Team, located in Monroe City, IN.

You will have the ability to: you will operate, inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain natural gas storage reservoir systems and compressor station and processing equipment which provide safe, efficient, and dependable sources of gas for the distribution system. Provide technical expertise and training in the operation of the Storage facility to other department employees.

To be successful in this role you will:

• Safely operate, maintain, and inspect natural gas storage field conditioning equipment (compressors, dehydrators, sulfur removal facilities, etc.), transmission piping, and gas wells.
• Preserve facility integrity, ensure regulatory compliance, and meet the needs of our customers.

Your background includes:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Valid Driver’s License - CDL-A will be required within 60 days of employment.

• Work overtime and serve on a rotational scheduled on-call.

A bonus to have:

• CDL A
• Familiar with basic computer programs (Word, Excel, Microsoft Office)
• Mechanical & electrical aptitude preferred (Test maybe required)
• PLCs
• Oil and/or gas processing experience
• Well maintenance experience
