Position Overview:
Motiva’s Learning, Development and DEI organization is looking for a highly motivated and innovative learning professional with excellent interpersonal skills to apply for our Learning Business Partner position. This role works on a team responsible for Motiva’s learning and development strategies, learning solutions, development programs and our diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives. Responsibilities
- Collaborate with functional leaders as a subject matter expert, provide innovative learning and development solutions and best practices which will help deliver on their strategic business priorities
- Propose learning and development solutions based on industry and corporate information, as well as data, experience, and knowledge, and ensure alignment with company policies and procedures
- Innovate new learning solutions that accelerate the development and proficiency of skills via individual courses, blended courses as well as large scale functional programs
- Develop strong relationships with various internal and external partners to identify and leverage solutions that will support employee development and growth
- Review existing learning content, revise where required, and improve to ensure performance impact
- Develop and apply industry accepted metrics that address learning impact, are easily measurable, address ROI and provide visibility into key focus development areas
- Communicates talent development approaches to leaders and stakeholders (HR and business), often at the executive level, utilizing data to educate and influence buy-in and implementation of solutions
- Provide guidance and support for focused career development initiatives
- Assist in developing plans that integrate our cultural DEI principles and cultural framework aspects into talent development practices for our functions
- Possess an unrelenting focus on quality control and continuous improvement for all existing and future products, consistently looking for ways to be a change agent to move existing practices forward using blended, multiple modalities
- Create or map content linked to competency standards
Experience and Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Human Resource Development, Education, Business, Engineering, or a relevant field required
- Minimum 1 year of Learning and Development experience in a corporate environment
- 1-3 years of end-to-end instructional design project management / program development and launch experience
- 1-3 years of experience in the utilization of software such as MS Office, Learning Management Systems (Success Factors, Workday, Cornerstone), eLearning authoring tools (i.e. Captivate, Lectora, Articulate 360), Learning Analytics tools or Competency development models
- Must demonstrate necessary skills such as:
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment with changing direction and strategy
- Ability to thrive under pressure and deadlines while being at ease dealing with rapidly changing requirements
- Instructional Design and project management expertise
- Self-motivated to prioritize and manage workload and meet critical project milestones and deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, verbal and written skills and the ability to build good working relationships
- Intellectual curiosity, problem-solving abilities, and desire to keep up with emerging learning technologies
- Must have the ability to work in our Downtown Houston office Monday-Thursday
