• The Licensed Practical Nurse functions performs tasks and responsibilities within the framework of case finding, health teaching, health counseling, and provision of supportive and restorative care.
• The Licensed Practical Nurse works as part of a care team to improve the completion of quality requirements, increase throughput, enhance efficiency, and enrich the overall patient experience.

• Graduate of a Practical Nursing program required.

• 1 year of healthcare related field experience preferred.

• Current NYS LPN License and registration as a Practical Nurse or a valid interim permit.
• BLS through an accepted agency must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
• Additional credentials as determined by specific work unit required.

• Ability to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide appropriate care to all ages of the patients.
• Ability to learn and use a computer-based patient chart and message system.
• Ability to determine patient status and take appropriate action.
• Ability to multi-task effectively in a rapidly changing environment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a team.
• Strong interpersonal communication and organization skills.
