Essex Westford School District is in search of a full-time Science Teacher for Essex High School, starting that the beginning of the 23/34 school year through November 17, to teach Forensics and Earth Science.EWSD is committed to considering out-of-state candidates who are eligible to hold a Vermont educator license but do not yet hold a license in this state. Candidates with experience working in another country and the ability to speak more than one language fluently, peace corp. experience, and/or otherworldly experience are encouraged to apply to help contribute to a diversity of thinking and grow our organizational practices.Candidates with the following qualifications are encouraged to apply:
- Is eligible to hold or holds a valid VT Educator license with the applicable science endorsement.
- Uses standards-based learning practices with a PLC group and can give academic intervention for students who need additional help.
- Understanding of the importance of social-emotional learning to the success of our students.
- Can engage, apply, and align with Next Generation Science Standards.
- Commitment to the development and implementation of Personalized Learning Plans.
- Dedication to providing students with a safe and respectful learning environment.
- Strong organizational, planning, written and oral communication, and collaboration skills.
