POSITION
General Purpose of the Position:
The Operations Supervisor, will handle all operational duties related to merchandise logistics, particularly incoming and outgoing shipment processing, allocation, and distribution. Reporting directly to the Store Manager, they will partner with management to ensure stock needs and replenishments are in alignment and in accordance with company standards.
Responsibilities
- Is proactive in finding solutions for back of house function and efficiencies.
- Is proactive in finding cost saving for the store's profitability.
- Aiding in the management of record store initiatives.
- Parner with Store Manager to lead inventory control counts.
- Lead the operational aspect of the onboarding process for all new hires.
- Leads and executes projects relating to BOH or operations i.e. record store/projects.
- Leads and executes cycle counts.
- Manages flow of inventory control (shipments, transfers, RTV, vouchers, and damages).
- Run weekly inventory reports.
- Manages replenishment of sales floor and merchandising.
- Maintains an organized flow of goods in the stock room & onto the sales floor.
- Ensures stock room is organized & maintained to company standards.
- Ensures accuracy of all incoming/outgoing shipments of merchandise.
- Able to effectively handle multiple tasks and projects successfully.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Team
- Ensures that the operations team is about to carry out directives relating to front and back of house dictated by the Operations Supervisor.
- Supports the development and growth of all team members.
- Monitors and manages performance of operations team, working in tandem with Store Supervisor regarding: IDPs and Performance Management and employee relations.
- Supports management in the interview process for all operational roles.
Skills and abilities required:
- Strong people management skills.
- Ability to lift up to 30-40 pounds.
- Must be deadline and detail oriented.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong customer service, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Strong computer skills, including SAP application.
Education and Experience Required
- AA or Bachelor's degree preferred.
