We are seeking a motivated individual who will be responsible, under the direction of the LP Service Manager, for installation and maintenance of propane heating equipment throughout the trade area. SUMMARY:

To provide installation, maintenance, sales, and related services on propane and petroleum equipment in a manner that aligns with the organization’s goals and objectives by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work in a safe and efficient manner, according to AgState Safety Policy.
  • Utilize good customer service skills at all times, when servicing and greeting customers, and when working with co-workers and other departments within the company.
  • Listen to and resolve customer complaints and concerns.
  • Demonstrate work habits that develop, build, and support the team concept within the organization.
  • Keep work areas clean and neat in appearance at all times.
  • Provide service and installation, and maintenance of propane heating equipment throughout the trade area and perform leak tests and other “out of gas” procedures.
  • Assist in maintenance and repair of bulk plants and Cardtrols and perform parts inventory management to ensure inventory is accurate.
  • Examining propane elements, including regulators, gas lines, appliance connections and others for possible defects or gas leaks and performing repairs as required.
  • Install and pressure test gas service lines to ensure system passes all state and local installation/permit requirements.
  • Provide pricing and bid information for repairs and new construction projects.
  • May occasionally drive truck to deliver propane and refined fuel as needed.
  • Perform regular maintenance checks and regulatory checks as required.
  • Developing and maintaining efficient routing, keep-fill, performing customer tank maintenance; resolving customer complaints; delivering, connecting, and maintaining petroleum equipment; and responding to after-hour calls from customers.
  • Maintain all federal and state regulations and knowledgeable on laws and regulations related to your area of responsibility.
  • Maintain inspection reports and other paperwork as required by federal, state, and local governments.
  • Maintaining accurate records for invoicing customers promptly and accurately.
  • Working with management to ensure that customer needs are being met efficiently.
