Adelaide of Newton Centre located in Newton, MA is looking for dedicated Wellness Nurses to join the team and work in a Mind and Memory community to assist our residents. Our Newton Centre location provides plenty of free parking! For commuters, we are also close to the GREEN T-STOP.
We have opportunities for the right Full-Time LPN/RN Nurses on our 7a-3p and 3p-11p shifts. Additionally, some Per Diem positions are also available (*bonus excluded for per diem positions). DON'T WAIT, APPLY TODAY!
Responsibilities:
- Closely mentors, guides, and directs the CNAs in all aspects of their job.
- Coordinates care needs with community providers via an effective case management process
- Measures and accurately records vital signs (temperatures, pulse, respiration, blood pressure weight and height) where appropriate as per state regulations
- Accurately assesses, communicates, and documents residents’ status
- Observes and reports any significant changes in resident behavior and health to the Nurse Director, physician, family, CNAs, and Executive Director per state regulations
- Successfully implements the plan of care
Requirements:
- Graduate of an approved LPN / Licensed Practical Nurse program (per state requirements) or RN / Registered Nurse program (per state requirements)
- Current state licensed as an LPN / Licensed Practical Nurse (as required by state regulation) or RN/ Registered program (as required by state regulation) and CPR certification
- Previous experience working with the elderly in a paid or volunteer position highly desirable
