Job description
- Assists parents and students in the registration process and admission requirements.
- Schedules any required testing with the Language Support Programs Department.
- Assist with the ELL family liaison with parent meetings and events held for Els.
- Provides information on the bilingual/ESL programs available.
- Shares comprehensive district information (website, map, etc.)
- Participates in various events held by the Language Support Program Department (Student registration, PreK Round-up, Parent Information Meetings, Cultural Celebrations, Literature/Reading Events.
- Maintains confidentiality and appropriately handles sensitive communication with staff and the general public
- Utilizes computerized systems to: communicate with parents/families, process/registration admissions, prepare reports, and/or analyze data.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Job Requirements - High school diploma or GED
- 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Knowledge of programs/services available to students.
- Knowledge of customer service standards and procedures.
- Knowledge of community outreach resources/practices.
- Ability to process computer data and to format and generate reports.
- Ability to interpret, adapt, and apply guidelines and procedures.
- Ability to investigate and analyze information and draw conclusions.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
- Ability to evaluate student transcripts and/or records.
