A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A MACHINE BUILDER

As a Machine Builder in manufacturing, you play an essential role in bending and installing simple pipes and tubing. You also handle tasks related to hose and small parts fabrication or installation. Using your exceptional mechanical skills, you assist with machinery rigging and shipping as well as machine set-up. At times, you safely operate our heavier equipment, including overhead cranes and forklifts. You also work on our mechanical assemblies to keep them moving at a good pace and complete the necessary documents to release our designs to production.

In addition, you safely operate small power and hand tools as well as provide input for improving work processes. You assist higher-level assemblers as needed and perform a range of housekeeping tasks to ensure your workspace is always in tip-top shape. QUALIFICATIONS FOR A MACHINE BUILDER

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience working in a team environment
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude

Experience working in the profession or taking technical classes in high school or college would be a plus. Basic computer knowledge is preferred but multiple factors will be taken into consideration. Are you highly organized and attentive to detail? Can you balance multiple tasks while demonstrating good time management? Do you have excellent communication skills? Can you maintain a positive and professional attitude?
