StampTech Fasteners TM Division Description:
The ITW StampTech Fastener TM Division serves the major OEMs and Tier suppliers in the North American automotive market. The division supplies stamped metal fasteners and engineered fastener assemblies that leverage our deep-draw stamping technologies. The annual revenue for the division is approximately $160M. Locations include Gallatin, TN, Lexington, KY & Naugatuck, CT.

The position of Assembly Machine Operator will perform production operations involving operating a moderately complex assembly machine. Tasks involve adjusting and fitting parts to very close tolerances, making equipment adjustments, and performing minor repairs.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate multiple machines and makes basic machine repairs and pre-checks.
- Pull/move component parts from and to inventory.
- Tumble rubber grommets.
- Move/load metal components to machine hopper.
- Generate stock labels on computer.
- Quality checks
- Set-up piece count scales and weigh finished goods.
- Complete machine production log sheets, relocation log sheets, and computer entries.
- Operate stand-up and fork trucks.
- After the machine has been down due to maintenance, part rejections, etc., the operator has the authority to restart the process after the test pc verifications and test log are completed with no issues found.
- Maintain good housekeeping standards.
- Follow all rules, regulations and work processes set forth by the company.
- Maintain a safe working environment.
- Other duties as deemed necessary to meet the needs of the business.
Minimum Qualifications/Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent along with 1-3 years of manufacturing experience is required.- Prior manufacturing or other experience involving use or operation of equipment is preferred, but not required.
- Experience with Fork Trucks and able to keep certification.
- Employee should have the manual dexterity to work with small parts and be able to sit and stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to understand written and verbal instructions and communicate effectively with all levels of employees is required.
- Must have the ability to operate all machines in the department and demonstrate good problem-solving skills.
- Must possess basic computer skills and various software systems (Microsoft/email) for logging and tracking results.
Working Conditions
- Employee will be required to work in all areas of the plant; temperatures will vary.
- Prolonged standing, crawling, kneeling, climbing and walking while performing job assignments.
- Must be able to lift 45 lbs.
- Safety toed/ slip resistant shoes, safety glasses and earplugs are required on the plant floor.
