Kaye Personnel is in search of several, experienced Machine Operators to join the team at a well-known Food and Beverage manufacturer located in Pennsauken, NJ.
*Company is located on a bus route! *
Shift Hours: 6am - 6pm, 2-2-3 Rotation
Pay Rate: $19.67 per hour
Responsibilities:
- Operate machinery, to include machine set-up, operation, change overs, and troubleshooting, to detect product (raw or finished) defects or machine malfunctions, adjusting machines as necessary
- Observe machine operation to detect product (raw or finished) defects or machine malfunctions, adjusting machines as necessary
- Maintain GMP (good housekeeping) standards at and around machinery
- Perform SOP’s for machinery in assigned area
- Work in a safe manner, consistent with company safety rules and regulations
- Maintain good attendance record per company policy
- Report food safety & quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Proficient in operating three (3) or more production machines or 3-5 years relevant experience in a manufacturing environment (including operation, set-ups, changeovers and troubleshooting of multiple machines)
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment (bump cap, hair net, ear plugs, beard net (if applicable), Kevlar gloves, safety glasses and leather, skid resistant work shoes/boots
- Ability to apply basic computer and communication skills, math functions and reasoning
- Ability to use various hand tools (knife, water house, band cutters, can opener and scales)
- Previous experience operating a forklift (for applicable work areas)
- Lockout/tag out certified preferred
- Possess a continuous improvement and team-oriented mind set.
Working Conditions:
- Constant exposure to extreme loud noises
- Constant work in high places and near moving mechanical parts
- Constant standing and moving by foot
- Constant exposure to extreme hot/cold (non-weather) environment
- Frequent lifting/carrying <50 pounds, reaching and use of fingers
- Frequent use of hot/cold water hoses
- Frequent reaching/pulling/bending/climbing stairs/stooping/kneeling/bending
- Occasional lifting >50 pounds
- Potential exposure to caustic chemicals
