Maintenance Mechanic – 2nd shift and FT Weekend
Specialties: Electrician, PLC, Packaging Machinery, or Machinist
Duties/Responsibilities: All Specialties
- Perform maintenance duties which support production including but not limited to: diagnose problems, modify, repair, and calibrate high speed packaging machinery and process equipment with limited to no supervision
- Ability to trouble-shoot, maintain, changeover and improve the operation of new and existing packaging and process equipment using PMs, SOPs, and equipment manuals
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks and routine repairs
- Understand and practice lock out/tag out safety procedures
- Perform work in a safe manner
- Perform predictive maintenance tasks to help with troubleshooting and repairing
- Document work accurately, as required, to meet all policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Work with fellow associates to maintain a clean and safe environment to meet GMP and sanitation, food safety, and quality standards
Qualifications: All Specialties (See below for specific specialty qualifications.)
- Must pass written exams general basic maintenance mechanic and respective specialty tests
- Must pass practical evaluations
- Ability to operate high lift and aerial lift and obtain a fork truck license
Qualifications: Electrician
- Must possess strong industrial electrical skills, and read and work from electrical schematics
- Ability to work under extremes of both hot and cold temperatures (inside and outside)
- Ability to ascend moderate to high elevations (10-75 feet) and climb
- Will need to attend ARC Flash training within the first 90 days
Qualifications: PLC
Allen Bradley: Ability to troubleshoot online with RSLogix for PLC5, SLC500 and Logix 5000- Understanding of Servos
- Ability to change/modify PLC programs as needed
Qualifications: Packaging Machinery
- Possess strong mechanical skills
- Familiarity with various types of packaging equipment
- Ability to work under extremes of both hot and cold temperatures (inside and outside)
- Ability to ascend moderate to high elevations (10-75 feet) and climb
Qualifications: Machinist
- Ability to repair and rebuild equipment and manufacture parts and components as needed
- Ability to fabricate parts from blue prints as well as from concepts using machining equipment
- Must possess strong mechanical skills
- Knowledgeable and experienced with all types of machining equipment
- Must have basic hand tools
