Plastics Maintenance Technician
Shift: 7 am to 7 pm (12 hour 2,2,3)
Salary: $19 - $34/hr (DOE)
Job Summary:
The primary responsibility of this position will be to maintain production on custom high-speed automated assembly equipment and all electric injection molding equipment by attending to breakdown maintenance on a 12-hour shift with a 2,2,3 work schedule.
This includes supporting ancillary equipment such as resin loading and blending systems, chilled water and coolant systems, and resin and pneumatic drying systems.
Additional responsibilities of this position will be to perform total preventative maintenance of the equipment listed above on the shift listed above with minimum downtime impact to equipment and continuous improvement or department project work related to department equipment as assigned. Repairing and TPM of high cavity injection molds (out of machine)
Required Qualifications:

- 2 years’ experience in an industrial Maintenance Technician role and/or the equivalent accredited trade/technical education
- Mid-level computer skills with MS based programs (MS outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
- Ability to work with limited supervision and make critical technical decisions and manage changing priorities with little notice
- Basic ability to read, understand, and interpret mechanical and electrical drawing or machine technical manuals and apply to situational troubleshooting and repairs
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with team members
Preferred Experience:
- All electric injection molding machine maintenance, process, and mold set experience
- Electromechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting/repair experience with high-speed automated assembly equipment
- Bi axial reheat high speed PET blow molding experience would be relevant to our equipment assembly process
- Scientific injection molding process training
- Past food manufacturing or food packaging manufacturing experience with AIB or SQF certification for plant
