We are looking for multiple maintenance professionals to join our team and work for world renowned facilities at Walt Disney World. A successful candidate will work on creating unique, memorable guest experiences by world-class service, exceptional reliability, and maintaining beautiful atmospheres.

General Description

A Repair & Maintenance Team Member is primarily responsible for maintaining restaurant and guest facilities appearance standards and ensuring all restaurant equipment and systems remain in proper working order. This person must be able to inspect, diagnose, and repair and/or coordinate repairs to keep the restaurants looking and functioning at an optimum level. Building, maintenance and mechanical skills are critical to be successful in this role.

Work Duties

• Perform inspections of all building areas and restaurant equipment
• Diagnose mechanical or functional issues
• Create task lists with completion dates
• Order/obtain parts and supplies as necessary
• Use power and non-power tools safely and effectively
• Repair/maintain restaurant furniture as necessary to ensure appearance and functionality
• Repair/maintain restaurant floors/walls/ceilings/doors as necessary to ensure appearance and functionality
• Maintain and adjust mechanical equipment as necessary to ensure functionality and compliance with food safety standards
• Coordinate/communicate with managers/chefs and sub-contractors as necessary to complete repairs
• Work safely and within safety guidelines at all times
• Follow the Disney 5-Keys Basics and Service Basics at all times
• All other tasks as assigned

Work Experience & Education Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of building, repair, and maintenance skills strongly preferred
• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
• Must possess general handyman skills (painting, furniture repair, tile work etc.)
• Must possess an understanding of building techniques, mechanical repair, & general maintenance
• Must possess an understanding of equipment operation
• Electrical, plumbing, and/or HVAC experience a plus
• Must be able to read and follow installation and operation manuals and instructions
• Must be able to read and follow repair and maintenance manuals and instructions
• Clean driving record a plus (Must have a valid Driver’s License and clean driving record in order to operate Company vehicles)

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

• Must be able to perform all necessary job functions
• Must be able to stand and be mobile for up to 4 consecutive hours
• Must be able to function in narrow spaces, such as those found in kitchens and dining rooms
• Must be able to lift and carry equipment/food up to 50 pounds
• Must possess dexterity in lifting and carrying a variety of items and equipment
• Must be able to push and pull (carts, doors etc.)
• Must be able to reach, bend, kneel, stoop and crouch
• Must be able to perform repetitive tasks
• Must be able to complete work duties in a variety of environmental conditions, including coolers, freezers, kitchen environments and outdoors
• Must be able to work around foods containing various food allergens
• Must be able to communicate and interact politely and effectively
• Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Must be fluent in the English language
• Must be available to work weekends and holidays
• Must be able to arrive for all assigned shifts on-time
• Must be able to comply company appearance guidelines
