Manage, Market and Boost Online Specialty Food Sales:

Rice to Riches, a well-known dessert shop in NYC that specializes in hand-crafted rice puddings, in a variety of flavors, seeks a "Person of Action" to develop and increase our online sales.

The company has been shipping to Foodies and Connoisseurs for special occasions, holiday gifts, and compulsive overeating for 20+ years, but recently, due to uninspired marketing, our online sales have become lackluster and stagnant.

Do you have the Competence, Creativity and Chutzpah to take our sales from - "Drab to Fab" - "Blah to Booming" - "Flat to Bunyanesque?"

Your responsibilities will include, any and matters that pertain to online sales, marketing, customer service and shipping.

Such as :

- Research, develop and test the best packaging for shipping perishable food. Packaging has to maintain food safe temperatures, minimize damage and allow for maximum transit times.

- Continually promote through Social Media and all other means of advertising - Create "THE BUZZ."

- Handle and resolve all customer service calls and complaints.

- Create, maintain and update "Sales Reports" and "Profit and Loss Statements" to be submitted regularly and reviewed by the company.

- Oversee, update and maintain an E-Commerce website, improve photography, FAQ'S, and overall customer experience.

- Dream-up, concoct and contrive - Promotions, Contests, Gimmicks, Giveaways, Competitions and Loyalty Programs.

- Conduct Publicity and PR interviews when they present themselves. Be a spokesperson - A Face of the Company - Only when it pertains to online sales.

Negotiate with shippers (FedEx, UPS, ETC.) for best pricing and favorable agreements. Interact with shippers to resolve problems whenever they occur.

- Create and update - Return/Refund/Reship policies and state them clearly in "Terms of Agreement."

- Liaison with Production Kitchen and Packaging/Fulfillment Facility.

- The most crucial and critical responsibility of this job will be to create interest, generate enthusiasm, and make the gift of Rice Pudding - Chic, Trendy and "In Vogue."

- Your mission, if you choose to accept it, is to take our online sales from $250,000 annually to $2,500,000....AND BEYOND!!!

$50,000 annual salary, After 6 months a partially funded health plan, After 6 months two weeks paid vacation, Work mostly from home, You must have a company owned and installed dedicated landline for Rice to Riches customer service only.
