Summary:
Management Trainee associates are experienced educators that are enthusiastic and self-motivated individuals with proven success at delivering solutions that help our clients achieve financial freedom and peace of mind. MIT associates achieve this vision by building professional relationships with existing and potential clients to understand their financial needs, to deliver valuable products and services to meet those needs and complete the account opening process accurately. Successful MIT associates are experts in retail banking operations and delivering an excellent client experience. MIT is required to understand and promote bank products and services to individuals and companies, as well as conduct accurate banking transactions in a fast-paced environment. The MIT must be able to travel to assist other branches as needed. MIT associates are responsible for assisting the region in leading the operations, customer experience, and sales production.
Position pays a minimum of $25.00. This position is eligible for additional incentive compensation based on achievement of established incentive goals. The monthly average incentive can range from $0 if no goals are met to $600 if goals are exceeded. Quarterly incentive up to $1,000 and annual incentive up to $2,000. Principal Accountabilities:
- Delivers a Fast, Easy, and Personal client experience consistent with company’s standards with each client and associate interaction.
- Promotes consumer/small business banking products and services to clients and prospects using direct sales techniques in and around the assigned banking centers, that include handing out product brochures, engaging potential clients in conversations about banking needs, and speaking with knowledge and positivity about the bank’s products and services.
- Ability to assist other banking centers when staffing dictates.
- Achieves specific sales goals on a daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Works closely with the Branch Management and Regional Sales Executive to develop an actionable sales plan to achieve banking center goals.
- Excels at inside and outside sales activities including sales calls, group banking and Academy at Work.
- Develops and maintains relationships with business partners to maximize opportunities and achieve sales standards. Provides a broad base of financial services with the goal of earning 100% of the client’s business.
- Is a digital expert in educating clients and associates in our digital banking platform. This is to include, but not limited to, online banking and bill pay/external transfers, mobile banking app to include text alerts and mobile deposits, usage of smart ATM/ITM’s, usage of chat box, and all other self-service channels.
- Works closely with clients and business partners to refer products and services to other business lines.
- Educate and provide clients with other banking services, resolves client concerns and issues.
- Assist Regional Sales Executive with completion of CRA activities.
- Maintains current knowledge and ethically conducts operational tasks related to protecting client and bank assets related to regulatory compliance (ex: Bank Secrecy Act and Office of Foreign Assets Control), including properly documenting account opening, accounting for cash and negotiable instruments under dual control, completing logs and other records to document proper procedures, obtaining, and ensuring the accuracy of all regulatory and procedural documentation.
- Protects all client information and bank trade secrets and business records as confidential, and follows all company policies for communication with clients, vendors, and associates.
- Completes teller transactions when necessary.
- Understands, embodies, communicates, and instills corporate initiatives and vision, including the Six Pillars of Success.
- Completes other specified duties as assigned.
- Regular attendance required, including travel as needed, working at the assigned worksite or assigned remote location, during regular business hours and/or assigned hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the banking center(s).
