This is a great opportunity to join our talented development team and the broader Riverside community! The Manager of Annual Giving is responsible for the planning and implementation of a comprehensive fundraising and donor cultivation program for Riverside Community Care. The primary focus of this position is to increase revenues through our Annual Giving program, events, and corporate giving.
The Manager of Annual Giving will:
- manage and solicit a portfolio of corporate sponsors and prospects
- manage all aspects of event planning of our annual gala - responsibilities include working with a committee of volunteers to produce our annual gala, which raises more than $200,000 for Riverside's child and family services, managing all of the logistics for the event, overseeing production of promotional materials, facilitating ticket sales, and soliciting sponsorships
- manage our direct mail annual fund vendor, including collaborating with vendor and VP of Development on direct mail strategies, proofing fundraising materials, supplying vendor with lists of donors as well as content about Riverside, and implementing online fundraising strategies
- identify and implement strategies for cultivating and stewarding new donors, including through existing Riverside audience
Our ideal candidate is a team player who is upbeat, demonstrates excellent multi-tasking skills and has a strong ability to build and maintain relationships.

Required Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel required; experience with ConstantContact a plus.
- Must be detail oriented and able to manage several projects simultaneously
- Must be able to work independently with little supervision and as part of a team
- Strong interest in and commitment to Riverside mission
- Willingness and availability to work some evenings and occasional weekends
- Must have valid driver’s license and regular access to a reliable vehicle and the ability to travel around the state
Required Experience
- Bachelor’s degree
- 2 years of development experience, ideally in corporate fundraising and event planning
- Facility with development information systems and databases a plus
