Manager of Finance and Investments

This position will work out of our office in Irvine.

In alignment with OMG’s mission and values, the Manager of Finance and Investments will be an integral part of the Team. This newly created role will help develop insights about Oakmont's portfolio and support our growth. The ideal candidate is highly organized, has strong analytical and quantitative skills, has stellar communication skills and a strong desire to work collaboratively with other Team members and operational stakeholders to support Oakmont’s fast-paced environment and growth. Please note that this is an in-person role in Oakmont’s Irvine office.

Salary range: $110-$130k

Essential Job Functions

• Support the company’s Financial Planning & Analysis and Investments functions
• Train and mentor Financial Analysts
• Review work-product of Financial Analysts and uphold a high degree of overall work quality
• Evaluation of development and acquisition opportunities, including analysis of markets, investment returns and pro forma property performance
• Develop and maintain various financial, market and other models
• Pro forma and investment returns analysis of property-level capital improvements
• Prepare property-level budgets as part of the annual budgeting process, and as new communities are developed or acquired
• Perform various ad-hoc projects and financial analysis as needed
• Assist in the preparation of monthly reporting packages to capital partners

Position Requirements

• Must have a strong work ethic and be a self-starter
• Ability to work with and help train Financial Analysts
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with attention to detail and excellence
• Advanced Excel knowledge and modeling experience
• Firm understanding of key finance and economic principles
• Prior experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), investment analysis, real estate and/or senior housing (senior living) is preferred
• +/- 5 years of relevant experience, flexible depending on type of experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Real Estate, or a quantitative field is preferred
