Manager, Team Member Engagement
Reporting to the Director, RSC HR & Team Member Engagement, this role will be responsible for leading Team Member engagement programs and initiatives across a national workforce of over 25,000 team members. Primary responsibilities will include the development and execution of a positive climate strategy, deployment of an employee engagement survey platform, review and development of employee policies/practices, management of an internal employment investigations team. This position can be remote but will require periodic travel to our Restaurant Support Center (RSC) in Denver.
Essential Functions of the Job
- Lead a team of HR Advisors 60%
o Manage a team of TM relations advisors responsible for completing timely and thorough investigations of policy infractions, team member misconduct, and local complaint/concerns
o Ensure a fair and consistent approach to disciplinary recommendations and problem resolution
o Lead internal investigations (when required). Conduct thorough investigations and bring issues to closure with final recommendations to business leader and Chief People Officer. Provide guidance on the disciplinary process through consultation with the Director, RSC HR & Team Member Engagement
o Oversee compliance processes and tracking (I-9s, unemployment claims, minor documentation)
o Supports leave of absence and accommodation needs (FMLA, ADA, etc.) in partnership with Benefits and Risk Management teams
o Partners with inside and outside legal counsel as needed
- Lead and manage assigned human resource initiatives. 20%
o Facilitate the design, development, and deployment of employee engagement initiatives across the company
o Support the design and deployment of HR communications across the company. Assist with keeping team members informed of all change of policies, procedures, and programs.
o Perform HR Business Partner tasks as needed
- Represent HR department as a subject matter expert 20%
o Partner with HR Business Partners and other leaders to ensure fairness in the workplace by leading reviews and clarifying human resources protocols, policies, procedures, and practices with the intent to enhance business operations and improve the team member experience
o Provide management and supervisory skills coaching expertise. Assist HRBP and RSC managers with understanding how to manage performance and lead effectively. Provide constructive solutions on how to enhance employee performance and engagement. Lead the development of RSC action plans in response to Employee Engagement survey feedback
o Provide “performance coaching” expertise to the RSC leaders. Assist managers and supervisors with analyzing and altering job structures and skill requirements to enhance employee performance.

Qualifications and Competencies
- 7 – 10 years progressive experience in Human Resources including the management of other HR professionals.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related discipline preferred. Equivalent combination of experience, education, and certifications considered.
- Ability to function as an internal coach to management, peers, and others by helping them identify and resolve issues, encouraging excellent management practices, anticipating internal organization issues, proposing solutions, and understanding/representing the Team Member perspective.
- Strong leadership skills with an ability to lead by example in terms of creating an exciting environment for Team Members and the company to ensure collective success
- Demonstrated capabilities in developing and leveraging HR metrics to guide HR effectiveness
- Demonstrated project management and implementation skills
- Exceptional verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with demonstrated presentation skills.
- Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking skills.

- Demonstrated consultative skills in a large corporate environment.
- Subject matter expertise in the areas of Employee Relations, Labor Relations, Employment Law (State and Federal).
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint). Experience with cloud based ticket and case management platforms. Experience with Workday a plus.
