Position Objective:

The Operator I is a key operations associate within our Timonium, MD manufacturing facility. Associates in this role possess basic operations skills, as well as the willingness to learn multiple areas of operations. Teamwork, and the willingness to assist others on the production lines, is an expectation for this role.
Operator I have a focus on EHS and quality in all actions. Associates in these roles are expected to partner with team members and team leads to support the goals of the manufacturing facility
Punctuality and reliability are key behavior attitudes and expectations for this role. Associates MUST be willing to work schedule, as well as any required overtime/holidays.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Read and understand the Standard Operating Procedure
  • Learn and follow standard work for all areas within a Value Stream
  • Conduct Daily 5S activities within a Value Stream
  • Follow instructions from manufacturing team leads and operations leadership team members
  • Follow quality standards for all equipment within a Value Stream
  • Ensure safe work conditions and identify/improve environmental health and safety.
  • Must be able to read and write simple statements.
  • Able to analyze, memorize and conduct and comprehend simple mathematical tasks.
  • Be able to make decisions and have sound judgment.
  • Complete an hourly scorecard
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, sit, stoop, bend, walk, reach, squat, kneel, push and pull for long periods of time.
  • Able to climb a ladder and flex the upper and lower body.
Essential Qualifications:
  • 1 year of experience in heavy/industrial manufacturing environment
  • High School Diploma

  • Solid interpersonal & communication skills
  • Good reasoning abilities. Sound judgment.
  • Resourceful and well organized – keeping a work area clean, safe and orderly
  • Problem solving ability

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • PC skills are a plus
  • Ability/interest to become quality certified and self-inspect
  • Must be able to work holidays and/or overtime as needed
  • Timely and consistent attendance is a MUST
3rd shift: 11:00 pm - 7:20 am Sunday Night-Friday Morning
