Job Summary
Come join our growing team! We're hiring a Manufacturing Engineer II in our world class Fort Walton Beach, FL facility! Help develop ground breaking defense products in our state of the art clean room environment and enjoy the beach more often with our 9/80 schedule (every other Friday off)!Job Responsibilities
- Provide direct engineering support to manufacturing operations
- Identifies process issues/concerns understanding escalation points and how to leverage resources
- Perform design, fabrication, modification and/or evaluation of manufacturing operations
- May prepare plans, conduct support studies, and provide analysis or tests in the development of manufacturing operations
- May assign work to drafters and/or technicians
- Responsibilities are moderate in scope where analysis of situations or data involves a variety of common factors
- Only general guidance is needed on routine work; instructions on new assignments as needed
- Involved in the development of manufacturing process plans, test requirements, and manufacturing flow, and capacity plans
- Review detail designs for manufacturability and producibility
- Participates in continuous improvement projects
- Tracks metrics such as labor hours vs actuals
- Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organizationQualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or other relevant field with 2+ years of applicable engineering experience, or equivalent combination of education/training and experience
- General understanding of lean manufacturing to support process improvements
- Experience with metric tracking
- Experience with measurement tools such as calipers
- 6S and Lean training a plus
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Minitab, LabView, and Visio desired
