Job description
- Build and execute a social media strategy through competitive research
- Create an effective social engagement strategy that includes generating, editing, publishing, and sharing daily that builds meaningful connections
- Stay up to date with the latest social media best practices, trending topics, current technology standards and market trends
- Monitor analytics and create reports to identify successes and to evolve initiatives to provoke outreach, conversations and engagement
- Develop new ideas and strategies for expansion on social media platforms
- Photography and videography content onsite and during live events
- Collaborate with marketing manager on integrated marketing plan and assist with the creation of content
- Create, proofread, and edit copy for various projects to ensure a consistent brand voice
- Updating and maintaining the internal display systems to ensure continuity of resort images and information
- Assist with graphic design for advertisements, print and digital signage, e-mail campaigns, menus, posters, social media content, etc
- Assist with execution of email marketing
- Assist with website content development and updating
- Assist with preparation of media kits
- Maintain a solid understanding of Blue Harbor Resort & Conference Center’s mission, brands, products and services, markets and target audiences
- All other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Journalism, or Public Relations or equivalent experience.
- Must have a minimum of one-year work experience in social media or related field
- Deep knowledge of social media platforms (TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.) as well as emerging channels that may be part of the future for Blue Harbor Resort & Conference Center’s social strategy
- Must be grammatically proficient with a strong skill in creative writing
- Knowledge of travel/hospitality industry preferred
- Self-starter with ability to work both independently and collaborate with managers
- Ability to meet deadlines and on a daily basis and multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in use of software application such as Adobe Creative Suite, Google Analytics, Hootsuite or similar scheduling tool
- Advanced photography, videography, and editing skills highly desirable
