JOB SUMMARY

The Advertising Support Specialist will be part of the Rewards and Promotional management team that supports AFS corporate and member stores. The specialist assists with providing an effective weekly ad invitation for customers to shop our independent grocers throughout the Intermountain West.

This role will assist with organization of the weekly ad, store promotions and entry of promotions into our cloud-based promotion management system. The specialist will be knowledgeable of our sign and tag program and will effectively communicate promotions to the store scanning teams and marketing managers. They will provide support, training, customer service, problem solving, and some reporting for retailers.

This position is located at the Associated Food Stores corporate office, with an opportunity for a hybrid work schedule.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Store promotions entry and management into our cloud-based promotion management system
• Coordinates customer service through phone and emails with retail stores
• Work with I.T. support to troubleshoot and update promotions for stores
• Demonstrate knowledge of grocery retail for training and problem-solving purposes
• Able to utilize MS Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other Microsoft software
• Billing and reporting on store events for payment and vendor fees
• Perform other related duties as assigned or requested

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Two years of retail experience or retail scanning experience is preferred
• High school diploma or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience is required
• Ability to utilize MS Office and other related computer programs
• Extremely proactive, detail oriented, a problem solver, creative and skilled in time management
• A team player with professional customer service skills is a must
• Possess skills in data entry, accounting, and abilities in multiple communication mediums
• Ability to multi-task and strong customer skills are essential
• Strong written and oral communication skills are required
