Pay, Perks, and Benefits

About This Position
Part-Time (15-20 hours per week)
As an integral player in the Alderbrook experience, you will have the opportunity to provide impeccable customer service to guests through excellent communication skills and execution of massage and body services, demonstrate a sincere desire to ensure a pleasant and transformative spa experience for all guests, and possess the ability to describe and sell all spa services and retail products. Massage Therapists at Alderbrook:
- Greet guests at the Spa Relaxation Room.
- Escort guest to their room, and articulately describe their scheduled service(s).
- Provide all services to the highest standard, include notes to file regarding skincare for each guest, including suggested and purchased retail.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the spa and restocks supplies as necessary.
- Participate in continuing education including product knowledge.
- Attend scheduled spa meetings, trainings, and special events.
- Maintain up to date knowledge of Resort services, products and procedures.

Qualifications
- Current WA Massage Therapist license, required.
- 3-5 years experience in massage and bodywork, required.
- Prior hotel or resort experience, preferred.

- Knowledge of Work: Excellent attention to detail, work standards.
- Interpersonal: Ability to work/communicate effectively verbally with multiple operating departments. Able to speak, read and write English.
- Work habits: Ability to work independently, autonomously and without supervision, while also able to follow written and verbal instructions when necessary. Able to work long hours and overtime if necessary. Team-oriented.

- Work Environment: Conditions are those of a typical of a hotel Spa environment. It is a controlled environment, and the position experiences little variation in temperature and a low level of noise in the work environment.
- Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is regularly required to stand for extended periods; walk; sit; climb stairs; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, bend and twist, push and pull, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds, and push up to 80 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision. May require sustained visual and mental concentration.
