Our growing Learning Center is looking for a Math Teacher who can help students in math, reading, writing, study skills, and more. This Teacher will be responsible for monitoring and teaching concepts in our programs, as well as supporting students preparing for upcoming tests at school and navigating through tricky homework assignments. We are looking for a candidate that students will respond to positively and partnering with our team to enhance the learning environment. Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain a constructive and ongoing rapport with Sylvan students
• Deliver reports on potential concerns about students as to management as needed. (eg: student has 7 missing assignments)
• Deliver Homework Support when necessary
• Motivate and cultivate a positive atmosphere with student about their academics
• Build Confidence!
• Follow Sylvan Learning plans for each student, (each student's program is personalized).

Teaching skills:

• 1+ years' experience working teaching/tutoring
• Bachelors degree required, Teaching Certification preferred.
• Positive attitude towards children and students
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

(pay starts at a higher hourly rate if you can do higher level math through Calculus or beyond)

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.50 per hour
