Seeking Maintenance Mechanic 1 to join our team of maintenance professionals. The Maintenance Mechanic will maintain, troubleshoot, set up, and adjust production equipment.
In this position you will use your experience to:
- Perform PMs, change-overs, breakdowns and project work as assigned. Demonstrate and promote safe work practices in all aspects of work.
- Gain experience from Lead Maintenance Mechanic to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair basic mechanical systems, tooling, basic machine controls, and electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic components.
- Complete and accurately document preventive maintenance activities on production and support equipment.
- Effectively utilize computerized maintenance and parts inventory programs.
- Support the tear down of equipment, rebuild and replace of defective parts and component units as needed, reassemble and make final equipment adjustments.
- Perform machine setup changes and make diagnostic checks on production and equipment as needed.
- Research and requisition repair parts as needed.
- Troubleshoot production or quality problems and make necessary adjustments to materials or equipment settings and notify Manufacturing Management of situation.
- Setup automated machinery for production: change tooling and fixtures, adjust machine settings, speeds and feeds, and enter necessary parameters of operational controls.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Injection Molding experience
- At least 1-2 years of machine maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment is required
- Electrical experience including lock out/tag out on live equipment
- Experience with robotics desirable
- Must be able to read prints and diagrams
- Basic computer proficiency
- Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, stand for extended hours,
- Must be able to lift and move heavy objects up to 50 lbs.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associates degree desired but not required
- Availability to work any shift schedule with the possibility of overtime
