POSITION: Mechanical (Carrier) Assembler
SHIFTS: 1st shift: Monday – Thursday; 5:30am – 4:00pm

COMPENSATION: $19-$21/hr.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Custom assembly work from blueprints
• Operates a forklift on a daily basis.
• Installation of hydraulic steel lines, hoses and heater lines
• Uses basic hand tools and pneumatic tools.
• Uses overhead cranes and jib cranes to move and sets parts.
• Works off a schedule and records assembly data.
• Participates in Inventory Management
• Recognizes and maintains a standard of quality.
• Utilizes 5S concepts in the workplace.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Working in a team setting

Required Skills/Abilities:

• High mechanical aptitude
• Assembly background/experience
• Blueprint reading
• Attention to detail
• Must be quality and safety driven
• Ability to understand method sheets and documented work instructions.
• Flexible and willing to perform various tasks.
• Has a willingness to learn.
• Ability to work as a team where safety and quality come first.
• Teamwork oriented
• Must be able to work overtime when needed.

PLUS (+)

• Overhead crane experience
• Forklift operation
• Extensive assembly background
• Experience in automotive assembly
• Large equipment assembly experience
• Experience with hydraulic components and installation experience

Education and Experience:

• H.S graduate or equivalent GED – Tech school training a plus.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to safely use and lift equipment weighing 50 pounds.
• Ability to work standing up to 10 hours per day.
