Our client, a leading Custom Automation Company, is seeking a Lead Mechanical Designer to join their team. As a Lead Mechanical Designer, you will be part of the New Product Development Team. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, able to work independently and highly motivated which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Lead Mechanical Designer
Location: Wixom, MI
Pay: up to $110,000 (dependent on experience level)

Key Responsibilities

• Works with other members of the Mechanical Engineering department and other teams to continuously improve methods and tools for Mechanical design, driving enhanced modularity, standardization, and functionality.
• Works with members of the Mechanical Engineering department and other teams to ensure that cost and schedule budgets are adhered to or improved upon.
• Ensures that scheduled milestones relating to Mechanical engineering design are achieved

• A post-secondary diploma, degree or equivalent qualification, specializing in mechanical design
• Demonstrated experience in an industrial development environment, producing custom machinery design
• Experience with Solidworks (must have)
