The System Owner will drive innovation by supporting the team in their design, architecture, and development of our Medical Affairs service offerings. What will you be doing?
  • Be the technical subject matter expert for our Medical Affairs Case Management platform, with a strong understanding of both functional and technical architecture
  • Work closely in partnership with business and functional teams to understand the business processes, document, and manage business and technical requirements, then architect solutions in our cloud-based platform to meet these requirements
  • Work with vendors and internal partners to identify, track and resolve all application problems; maintain system and data integrity
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal partners to maintain system performance, system security and compliance requirements
  • Build relationships within the internal Ashfield stakeholder community including the Head of Medical Affairs, Quality and Compliance, Contact Center and our partner ecosystem
  • Serve as SME for enhancements, software upgrades, implementations, and integration projects providing product expertise and quality assurance, including leading design sessions, conducting implementation reviews and testing as required
  • Work with vendors and internal partners on product roadmaps and strategic planning for the Medical Information product suite
  • Capture business and system requirements and manage related documentation needs to support client implementations including Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), File Interface Agreements (FIAs) and Functional System Requirements (FRSs) as needed
  • Support Business Development, Marketing and other stakeholders to articulate the value proposition of our solution and help solution design during RFPs, RFIs and other client visioning sessions
  • Liaise with our partner Account Management and other implementation partner SMEs to stay informed of new releases, functionality and other updates impacting our business.
What do you need for this position?
  • BA/BS
  • At least 5 years of related experience
  • Experience with healthcare/pharmaceutical industry is required, ideally within Medical Affairs / Medical Information setting
  • Demonstrated understanding of SaaS application support and project processes, including SDLC, project management and project portfolio support to ensure proper solution delivery, including planning, requirements gathering, designing, building, implementing and supporting
  • Ability to meet project deadlines, ability to train; ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with peers and managers; ability to exercise sound judgment in evaluating situations and making decisions; ability to follow or give verbal or written instructions as applicable
  • Ability to participate in the selection, installation, and deployment of software Medical Affairs / Medical Information.
  • Familiarity with current SaaS-based Medical Information/Case Management platforms such as IRMS (Anju Software)
