At Asthma and Allergy of Idaho (AAI), we are seeking an individual with experience as a Medical Assitant. This position will work in a busy asthma and allergy outpatient clinic in Coeur d’Alene.

Job Description
1. Will work in a busy asthma and allergy outpatient clinic in Coeur d’Alene
2. Clinic hours: Monday thru Thursday 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Friday 8:00 AM to 12:00 pm, noon. Shifts will vary but will be within clinic hours.
3. No weekends or nights worked.
4. This will be a full-time position (part time may be considered) of back office duties for a Registered or Certified Medical Assistant.
5. Travel is expected to our satellite clinics in Sandpoint and Moscow, travel is 1-2 days a week. Travel is same day – departure and return. Company car provided for travel.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
1. Back-office duties to include but not limited to: obtaining vital signs, perform lung tests, administer allergy shots, apply skin testing, process prior authorizations, prescription refills.
2. Performs patient support activities to assist physicians and other health professionals.
3. Establishes and maintains open lines of communication, both internal and external.
a. Telephone calls are received and responded to.
b. Patient inquiries are triaged and responded to or referred to appropriate person.
c. Patients are informed of need/requirements - i.e., insurance cards, identification, pre-authorizations.
d. Patients are notified when co-payments and deductibles are required for allergy services.
4. Assists with other office duties when requested, as needed.
Educational Requirements
1. High School graduate or equivalent
2. One year of related experience
Experience level and other preferred qualifications
1. Two or more years working as an MA preferred
2. Certified Medical Assistant preferred
3. Must be a well-organized person comfortable with deadlines
4. Should be a self-starter and have excellent interpersonal relationship and communication skills
Pay and Benefits:
1. Starting pay dependent upon experience level
