Job Summary: Builds positive relationships with all clients by providing professional, prompt, courteous and accurate service. Presents and explains to members and prospective members the financial products and services provided by the Credit Union. Assists members in meeting their financial needs by actively cross-selling Credit Union products and services. Educates and refers clients to services that can help each individual client.

We are only recruiting candidates located in the Bradenton/Sarasota area.

This position is posted as Part-Time however we may consider individuals seeking Full-Time employment. If the position is kept part-time, the employee should expect to work no more than 30 hours a week. Must be able to work 40 hours to cover vacations, peak periods etc. as decided by management.

What are we looking for in a Member Service Representative:

  • Effective negotiation, sales and relationship building skills a must.
  • Proven success prospecting, building a pipeline and closing sales opportunities.
  • Identify, recommend and sell appropriate financial products and services to create fully engaged financial relationships.
  • Originate new members through various sources to ensure continued growth for the Credit Union.
  • Work within a teamwork environment to develop a retention strategy for new and existing members.

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:

  • Greets and welcomes members to the Credit Union in a courteous, professional and timely manner, providing prompt, accurate and efficient member service.
  • Answer questions and solves problems regarding members' financial needs by listening to details, collecting data, securing answers and reporting results to the inquiring member or guest.
  • Processes a wide range of financial transactions, including but not limited to the following - deposits, withdrawals, transfers, check cashing, posting payments, gift cards, money orders, corporate checks
  • Processes a wide range of new account and lending transactions, including but not limited to the following - provide lending information to members, interview and take loan applications for credit approval. Process new accounts and other member account setup activities - wires, ACH transfers, IRA deposits/withdrawals, cross-account setup etc.
  • Analyze, research and resolve problems and discrepancies related to member accounts and loans.
  • Assist with Branch Office vault/ATM opening, closing and balancing procedures.
  • Review and check teller work, assist in the resolution of teller outages, escalate service issues etc. to management if needed.

All job positions may be assigned further duties with or without notice, verbally or in writing.

Pay: $19.00 per hour

Everyone entering the branch must wear a mask while they are in the office. The number of individuals permitted in the branch and social distancing standards are enforced. Shield guards have been installed at all key entry points.
