Instrumentation – Mfg Maintenance Technician II

How will you make an impact?
Typical hours for this role is rotating shifts 2-3-2 12Hr (Days/Nights)
Perform instrumentation work at a technical level by, troubleshooting and recommending preventive action, and assisting in the support of the overall PM/calibration program. Perform repair on circuit boards and mechanical systems in the steriles manufacturing operation in support of production schedules and calibration schedules. Perform detailed repair as needed to avoid replacement of equipment or modules within the equipment.
- Document conditions, actions, procedures and results of work, tests, or inspections performed by as the need arises by company policies and procedures.
- Maintain and upgrade technical and nontechnical skills by participation in company and outside training programs.
- Maintain work area and equipment in a clean, safe, and orderly manner.
How will you get here?
Education:
- Associate’s degree in Electronics/Electrical, Instrumentation Technology, Engineering, or other applicable technical degrees is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent is minimally required.
Experience:
- With HS diploma - At least 2 years of instrumentation experience or 5 years of electrical/electronic experience required.
- With Associate's degree, 0-2 years of instrumentation experience or electrical/electronic experience preferred.
- Pharmaceutical experience is a plus
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Ability to troubleshoot problematic equipment and various electrical component systems with no schematic
- Proficiency in the use of highly technical diagnostic and test equipment.
- Knowledge of electronic component recognition and operation.
- Skilled in problem analysis, planning and organization.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Reading and comprehension of blueprints, manuals and training materials.
- Ability to work well on a team.
Physical Requirements:
Position requires ordinary ambulatory skills and physical coordination sufficient to move about office locations; ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch periodically for prolonged periods of time; manipulation (lift, carry, move) of light to medium weights of 25-50 pounds, occasionally pushing and pulling 50-100+ pounds; arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp and type for prolonged periods of time; visual acuity to use a keyboard, computer monitor, operate equipment, and read materials for prolonged periods of time; ability to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear for prolonged periods of time. Ability to climb ladders and access heights.
